Adventurephiles: October 2012

We have been busy as usual, very busy I don't even know where to start! I am officially aware of my shortcomings as a blogger- so much for daily, so much for weekly now I aim for monthly.
We had my parents as guests about three weeks ago, it was WONDERFUL to see family again. We had a lot of fun doing a lot of nothing. We shopped at Fashion Island a "world class" shopping venue that is only a few blocks from our RV park. We took out a duffy boat again which is so my parents speed and style it would have been a crime had we not. We went out to eat- a lot. All of these things and I have not a picture to show for it!! FAIL! So now they need to come back so I can take some pictures of us having fun :)
The following weekend we had Brandon (Nathan's brother) visit with his girlfriend Toni. Saturday night we had a BBQ/sleepover. Kortney, Kai and Cari along with Brandon and Toni and the four of us. Kortney and Kai pitched a tent in our yard. It was a camper full, and a ton of fun. There was a vintage camper "show" in our campground that weekend-I was very excited to show everyone the campers-they weren't as excited as I had expected. Kortney introduced Piper to the polar plunge- woke her early and they jumped in the lagoon, I was not game. Thanks Kort for being a sport. We surfed with the whole crew on Sunday then hung out at K&K's that night. On Monday we went to the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, with Brandon, it was a "field trip" day for the kids. Tuesday we went whale watching with Kort, Zach, and Tina-no whales but we did see some dolphins. We then drove Brandon to San Diego on Wednesday and went to the San Diego Zoo for an all day extravaganza! aka another field trip day for the kiddos.
Life went back to the usual on Thursday, kids had a sleep-over with the neighbor kids here on Saturday but then we had to do our weekend warrior bit and hang with K&K again on Sunday at the Class of 47' bar, then Kort and the kids took a sunset dip in the ocean, and off to bed we went.
Monday we took in the California Science Center in LA, WOW! What a phenomenal place-and the permanent exhibits are free-crazy. So I think thats the high-lights at least...
