We are currently in Pacifica CA ten minutes south of San Francisco. We left Newport Beach last summer in June and went to South Dakota sans toy hauler and stayed with Nathan's family while he went for a month to Army Reserve training. It was bittersweet, seeing all our loved ones in the Midwest but leaving all our wonderful friends in Newport.
While in SD we bought a VW bus Westfalia edition, and I tried to drive it back to the West Coast-made it about 3 hours into Wyoming and thats all she wrote. We are now rebuilding the engine on Gust-the-bus and I will get back to you on that....
I ended up borrowing the Harvey's extra car and driving myself and the kids across the country and meeting Nathan in Newport. That all happened in early September, it was great but I ended up getting very sick on the drive out and it took a while to recover, and so I didn't get to catch up with our friends as much as I would have liked.
We made it to Pacifica Sept 12th and have been staying busy ever since. I would love to say I know what is next but I never seem to. Nathan has been excepted into the CRNA program at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX and so we head there in June and that is about as good as it gets for knowing whats next in this family.
