Wow! I am so behind on posting! Homeschool keeps us very busy, as does our weekends with Kortney and Kai. We have settled in nicely, although we could do some fixing up around the place as we are on a dirt/sand plot and it gets filthy in the rig with the kids kicking up dirt all the time. It is very nice to be near a bike path that goes to a nature preserve and also we can ride to Balboa Island which has the ferry to Kortney and Kai's place, it takes us about 10 minutes or so to get there by bike.
We love the beach by their place better than here in our resort, which is a lagoon and not the ocean.

Kai and Kortney taught the kids to stand up on a surf board-they are naturals! We also went out on a Duffy boat while Whitney was back visiting it was fun to tour around the harbor. The weather couldn't be better- it is actually maybe a little on the too hot side-but I hate to complain for fear it will get too cold. It is definitely a different world here, we live within a mile or less of Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, Range Rover, Bentley, Aston Martin and other crazy expensive car dealerships that blow Scout's mind. He is so excited that there is a McLaren dealership down the road since he races one on the I-pad, and it is his favorite! The kids wonder why there are no homeless people here and Nathan tells them the rich people export them-it might be true. Whatever the reason it is a noticeable contrast to Sacramento where we lived near poverty and saw an obvious homeless problem.
We are off to the library now so I will write more later!!
